Blacks lay larger eggs than browns. But blacks are more affected by heat when it's hot (black color attracts heat). Blacks start laying at a later age than browns and finally, blacks lay for a longer period of time than browns.
However, browns are more profitable to raise because they lay larger number of eggs in a shorter period of time and so, they consume less feed per dozen eggs laid.

I'm suspecting that in areas where large eggs fetch more price, black layers will be more profitable.
