Caused mainly by stress. It may also be due to diseases.
Mould in feed can cause it too. That's why toxin binder in feed is important. Nutrient deficiency can also contribute. Feed should be high in energy, minerals, vitamins etc. And the sow shud be fed enough diet, especially during the last trimester of pregnancy.
