From scratch to marketing? The person will have to type forever. Your best solution is to download and read nigerian ebooks on plantain farming. Then talk to some plantain farmers around you.

i have a pig farm by the side and I can get manure from there, but I learnt I need to put inorganic fertilizer for plantain, what do you advice and what type, dosage etc?

@Ola, you can use only organic fertilizer and poultry manure they say is the best. May be you can combine your pig manure with it. As for dosage, I don't really know. I'll just use my head and add a little at a time and watch the leaf color and growth rate.

Ok thanks for the input, my fear is I got some patches on the leaves on my plantain but can't figure it out. The picture is attached.

That is a disease, probably fungus and not due to manure. You should call in people that has knowledge about plantain diseases.

Thanks so much, I think it is the breed, i was able to find an answer with picture on the internet


"On some varieties such as Cavendish types, leaves
of young banana suckers naturally have maroon-colored
blotches that should not be mistaken for symptoms of black
leaf streak disease. These blotches are not present on leaves
of older plants"
