#1
Can I use milk in my chicken’s drinking water? Would it serve as a kind of probiotics?

I've read that birds cannot digest milk and too much can cause diarrhea. It is a probiotic only when fermented.

@FarmKing, birds cannot digest the lactose in the milk. But when it is clabbered, that is, allowed to ferment in a warm place for 2-3 days, the milk lactose is converted to lactic acid. Fermented milk contains a lot of beneficial bacterials that will keep their intestines in good condition. But note, I'm talking about raw milk that have not been pasteurized yet. If you keep pasteurized milk for more than a day without refrigeration it will not ferment, it will rot and stink.

I've read somewhere that you can stop your birds from eating eggs by giving them milk.

Hmm, won't that be costly?
