Difference Between Banana and Plantain Tree

Good day everyone. I don't know if anyone have ever thought of this. Banana and plantain trees look exactly the same! Is there any way to differentiate them?

I don't think there is any d/f oo. except when the fruits appear and mature.

Someone once told me that bananas have some dark markings on their stems. Plantains may have the same markings but they are not many.
