How many hours of daylight do a chicken need to lay lots of eggs?

I know that more light per day brings more eggs. But how many hours of light should we give?

They need more than 14 hours and a maximum of 16 hours. During the winter or rainy days, the short day length causes chickens to lay fewer eggs. To avoid this, just give additional light at night and you’ll have more eggs. This strategy is very good for business. But note, if you’re adding light in the evening, it must be very bright before you get the desired effect.
