Do You Put Garlic in Your Chicken's Water?

I have read about the benefits of putting crushed garlic in chicken water. They say it helps to prevent diseases and worms. Is this true, has anyone else heard of this or is doing it?

I’ve not used it but I also read that it helps prevent not just diseases, but also internal and external parasites.
