Some drugs used for poultry are also used to fight diseases in humans. When birds are treated with these drugs, some part ends up in egg and/or meat as risidues. When we eat these products, it can lead to antibiotic resistance in us. That is why most drugs have egg/meat withdrawal periods. During this period, it is expected that you throw away the eggs away or you refrain from killing the animal within this period. Withdrawal period can last from 3-7 days depending on the drug and animal in question.
