Hi everyone. I am new here. I am a new animal sciences graduateĀ intending to learnĀ from those before me in the livestock business. I particularly need advice on which small I can start with a modest capital like say #300,000. Thank you all.

You are highly welcome. With that amount, you can start with something like broilers. If you can't build a pen with blocks, you can start with cages, or better still, you find and rent a pen.

In terms of cost effectiveness would it be better to formulate my own feed or buy commercial.

For a start, it is better to buy commercial feed. Formulating feed isn't that easy oo. I will post cost of raising broilers by tomorrow.
