Sheep Feed that gave 83.8g per day growth
In this experiment with lambs of west african dwarf sheep, they gained 83.8g/day over a 90 days period on P. maximum (guinea grass) and 800g DM per day of browse (50% Leucaena and 50% G. sepium). The grass and a mineral lick was made available at all time. When the browse part was reduced to 400g DM/day and 200g DM/day, growth reduced to 73.4 and 60.3g/day respectively.
