Smoking Catfish - Sendrix - 11-11-2014 Those farmers that complain about market women buying their fish at ridiculouse prices, why can't they smoke and sell as smoked fish. This is where you raise catfish for 2.5-3 months (300-500g body wt) and sell them either fresh or smoked. To maximize profit you must hatch your own fries and it is better than raising catfish till maturity. This is because at a younger age, the fish grow fast while eating less feed (low feed converstion ratio). After 3 months, feed consumption tend to increase.
