Can layers and broilers be brooded together? - Hilux - 12-17-2014 Will there be any problem if layers and broilers are brooded together? RE: Can layers and broilers be brooded together? - Manihot - 12-20-2014 They can be successfully brooded together, but they should be separated before broilers are switched to finisher or when they become too big for the layers. RE: Can layers and broilers be brooded together? - Henlus - 12-22-2014 Yes they can for the first few days. But it will be better if you start off with the layers for 2 weeks before introducing the broilers. This is because broilers grow fast and may crush the slow-growing layer chicks.
