How Does Layers Lay Eggs without A Rooster? - John@ - 01-06-2015

I’ve always wonder how commercial egg layers lay eggs without a rooster present. That’s not possible with other animals like goats, sheep, rabbits etc. How is that possible with birds?

Yes, they can lay without a rooster, but the eggs will be infertile. With humans and other animals, the females ovulate and release eggs, you can think of menstruation. Since the eggs are not fertilized, the body eliminates them.
