Cricket Growth Rate - Trimex - 01-16-2015

How long does it take a baby cricket to reach adult size?

Takes about 7 weeks. Their whole lifespan is about 8 weeks. They grow faster under high temperature of about 32oC.

Who wants to farm crickets? It would be interesting.

It is very interesting. They have a feed conversion ratio of about 1.7 which is lower than that of chickens. That means they'll eat only 1.7kg of balanced feed to attain 1kg weight. That's very interesting and some people farm it as food for pets.
