How many crate of eggs can one be expecting from 500 layers bird at their peak period
It depends. If your birds were able to reach 95% at peak, you'll get up to 15 crates.

Wao 95%? that awesome. Thanks
Attaining 95 percent depends on your management though. Cage layers stand a better chance.

OK
95% will be difficult to achieve with the level of management common with most farmers. Heat stress alone will pose a lot of problem. We should be looking at 90% or less.
@farmking, indeed u are right
Well if you have 500 birds and lets say all of them survived to the stage of laying eggs and start producing, you should know that a bird should produce an egg each day, so your 500 divide by 30 that makes a crate, you should have 16.6 crates but due to the timing of point of lay that some birds lay in the morning, some in the evening and some in the night, so you should have that 15 to 16 crates per day.
@Majinis, a bird cannot lay every day, but they can lay 3-5 times in a week but not consistently. Also 0% mortality is not that possible.
Like how long will they lay before getting old?
